Thank you, oh thank you, that all through history you are faithful! The words of our theme song are so appropriate. God has been faithful to us as we have served him and given us strength for each long day. The 65 delegates have blessed us as we bless them. The team will never forget this experience. Speaking of the team, I could not imagine that we could have a team to match the one 3 years ago. But they have been equally good and supportive. We are so grateful to Nita and her team for laying the foundations which we have built on. This time, the delegates only needed some prompts to plan a whole family celebration for 30 children incorporating drama, music, craft, games and prayer. It was wonderful to see them grow in confidence.
We have learnt together about Daniel, the woman at the well and Jesus (from Acts 2). Thanks to our fundraising, we have been able to give lots of resources to help each parish. Incidentally, we understated the number of churches - it was actually 34 churches represented.
We have taken lots of photos and videos and sound recordings to share but it is too difficult at present to load them so they will be added when we are back in the UK.
We are now tidying up after delegates leave and will go for some retail therapy! On Friday we hope to visit two schools and then drive north to Pilanesberg game reserve. Over the weekend we hope to do some game drives, visit craft fairs and go to church at Koster which is not a coffee shop!
Thank you to everyone who supported us with your interest, gifts and prayers. You have helped us to make a difference. Please continue to pray for us as we relax and travel for safety and good navigation.
We had a fantastic week though we're a bit tired now!
ReplyDeleteAs three years ago so now - Great is his faithfulness! Thank you, God!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to hearing all about it and seeing pictures, videos, etc when you get home. I met a lady in Tesco today who had knitted puppets and she was asking how it had gone.
Now it's time to relax and enjoy yourselves - and go to worship on Sunday with a greater understanding of the people and their faith. Well done, one and all.
Nita
